The Dead End

I recently finished the soundtrack to the surreal and magical feature film “The Dead End”, starring Saidah Jules and Aditya Om.

As well as writing the soundtrack it was really to get to co-write and produce a song for the movie with my good friend and awesome vocalist Ayala. I’ll link here when it’s available.

“Up All Night” Premiere

Huge crowds at the “Up All Night” premiere last week! It was great fun to walk down the red carpet with my fellow composers Banks & Wag – I particularly enjoyed the disappointed looks and sounds of fans getting excited….and then realising we weren’t famous.

No official photographs of us sadly….I can only assume that we were considered to be to be too handsome?!?

Up All Night

I’m delighted to have co-composed the score for “Up All Night”, a spin off from the popular long running CBBC series Friday Download, directed by John Henderson (The Borrowers, Spitting Image, Shameless).

The movie features David Mitchell, Kevin Eldon (Alan Partridge, Brass Eye, Big Train) and Tyger Drew Honey (Outnumbered), as well as past and present FDM presenters.

There are also cameos from pop band The Vamps and Britain’s Got Talent stars Bars and Melody.

I’ve co-composed the score with my good friends Banks & Wag (www.banksandwag.com).

Up All Night will be hitting cinemas nationwide this summer.

Microsoft – “Secrets and Treasure”

I recently had the privilege of composing the soundtrack for Microsoft & Mediatonic’s X-Box Live game “Secrets and Treasure: The Lost Cities”.

“Battle your way through exotic locations and fiendish puzzles to discover treasure beyond your wildest imaginings. Uncover the secrets of the ancient world… and find out what really happened to legendary explorer Professor Flintlock!”

Here’s the teaser trailer which uses my title music:

“Sherlock” – C-12 Dance Theatre

Following on from the great experience I had working on “Shhh!” with C-12 last year, they’ve  kindly invited me back to work on the R&D stage of a immersive dance-theatre production of “Sherlock”. We’ll be producing a 10-15 minute mini-show, hopefully as a prelude to creating the full show further down the line.

We had our first meeting today – Adam and Annie have assembled a top-notch creative team and already have lots of great ideas and I can’t wait to get started!

Best Music Award – Adventure Gamers Awards 2014

I’m very proud to announce that the late Simon D’Souza and myself have won won Best Music in the Adventure Gamers 2014 awards for our score to The Journey Down 2!

Simon wrote most of the score before he become too ill to finish it, so I’m so glad his music is getting the recognition it deserves and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’m excited to be starting work on TJD3 in the next few weeks, and I’ll endeavour to keep this blog updated with progress.
